Many people reach out asking me how they can learn to do what I do. You can learn to do what I do! All it takes is some time and hard work!

I got most of my education remotely via self study and testing. Then, of course, lots of practice. It’s a life-long learning lifestyle.

At this time, I’m not able to offer you classes on everything I’ve learned. But, I do have a bunch planned for the future. Until then, I can show you where to get the same education I did.

BS in Natural Health – Clayton College of Natural Health

Unfortunately, Clayton College closed down in 2010 because it was unable to overcome the effects of the economic recession.

However, The University of Natural Health is very similar and accepts Clayton College of Natural Health credits.

Master Herbalist Certification

My master herbalist certification is remote study. The training is done privately with Dr. Frank Aurriema or his staff. Classwork is completed by self-study reading textbooks, then turning in essays.

Tennessee Naturalist Certification

The Tennessee Naturalist Program (TNP) is an education training course introducing you the natural history of Tennessee. Graduates join a critical corps of Tennessee Naturalist volunteers providing education, outreach, and service dedicated to the appreciation, understanding, and beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.

The purpose of the TNP is to tech Tennesseans about our natural world, inspire the desire to learn more, instill an appreciation of responsible environmental stewardship, and channel volunteer efforts toward the education of the general public and conservation of Tennessee’s natural resources.
