Read This Controversial Article And Find Out More About Vitamin C

What amazes me the most about the information I’m sharing with you is the fact that it’s not modern research!

The information is from the 70’s and the 80’s… and it works!

Yet, high-dose vitamin C is not common health practice! Why?

High dose IV vitamin C therapy is available in alternative medical facilities. And, doctors who practice orthomolecular medicine recommend high vitamin C dosing.

But, you really don’t hear much about people working with high dose vitamin c orally, at home, to help the body’s natural healing process and prevent disease.

It’s natural, easy and inexpensive. I’ve tried it myself, and it works. I hope it helps you just as much!

Dr. Cathcart’s Amazing Vitamin C Study

The link below is to a study conducted by Robert F. Cathcart, III, M.D., published in ORTHOMOLECULAR PSYCHIATRY, VOLUME 10, NUMBER 2, 1981, Pp. 125-132.

The article charts Dr. Cathcart’s experience utilizing vitamin C in large doses. The study extended over a nine-year period and involved over 9,000 patients.

He shares info on vitamin C dosing for colds, flu, cancer, arthritis, and much more!

See Dr. Cathcart’s Study

The study was conducted in the 1970’s and the article printed in the 1980’s, but for some reason the information never really reached much of the general public.

You will be astonished if you read all the way through the article!

I hope the “secret” information helps you! I would also love to hear back with your results if you give it a try!

Why I Haven’t Been Sick in 10 Years

My passion is helping people and pets live longer, healthier, happier lives!

I’m sharing this information freely, in the hope that you and your pets can enjoy the same health and well-being I, my family, and pets have through the use of vitamin C.

In the title, I claim I haven’t been sick in 10 years. Believe it or not, it’s true! I’ve been tired, stressed, and worn out… but I’ve never “caught” anything.

And, in my personal opinion, I owe it to eating right (or at least trying to!), daily exercise, good supplements, reducing my toxic load, and taking a maintenance dose of vitamin C every day.

At one point, I did get an abscessed tooth. I recalculated my bowel tolerance during the infection period, and my need for vitamin C was much higher. I continued with the bowel tolerance protocol, and in a few days the abscess was gone.

As of the date of this article (it’s been a year an a half since the abscess) I’ve still not needed any dental work. Even for the tooth that had abscessed!

Below, I’ll share with you is how I titrate to bowel tolerance for myself and my pets.

How to Titrate to Bowel Tolerance

I take sodium ascorbate Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate powder) to bowel tolerance. Every day. Below, I’ll explain how to start.

What you need is:

  • Sodium Ascorbate Vitamin C Powder
  • Some good water.

I toggle between the two brands listed below, using what’s on sale.

At the time of this article, the following are the most cost-effective, high-quality products I found:

I get the big kilo size because I give it my entire family and all my pets (two dogs and four cats). For all of us, 1 kilo lasts roughly a month. And nobody gets sick – Yay!

Once you have your sodium ascorbate vitamin C, start out with a small amount and very gradually increase it at your own pace, gradually.

Here’s How I Titrate to Bowel Tolerance

I started out taking 1/4 teaspoon (1,000 mg) in the morning and 1/4 teaspoon in the evening the first day, mixed in water.

**Note: For pets under 25 pounds, I start at 1/16 teaspoon in the morning and 1/16 tsp in the evening.

Also, for pets I put the sodium ascorbate in their food, not their water.

The second day, I added 1/4 teaspoon to each dose. So, I took 1/2 teaspoon in the morning and 1/2 teaspoon in the evening.

Each day, I added 1/4 teaspoon to both the morning and evening dose.

It’s really easy to do! All you have to do is mix the sodium ascorbate powder into a cup of distilled water. Just stir it around until it dissolves. Then drink it. That’s all!

Actually, you can use any kind of water. I prefer distilled because it is 100% pure and free of contaminants.

You can vitamin C can be taken at any time. Some people find it easiest to take some upon awakening. Others like to take it with each meal, and some before going to bed at night. Just do whatever works best for you!

If you ever get abdominal discomfort like:

  • A rumbling stomach
  • Excessive gas
  • Diarrhea

Simply go back to the amount you reached before you encountered problems. Use this as your maintenance dose.

**Note: Sodium ascorbate vitamin C will make you have good, regular, smooth bowel movements in roughly 30 minutes to an hour. This is normal!

My maintenance dose is 1 tablespoon (12,000 mg or 12 grams) in the morning.

If the tablespoon in the morning doesn’t create a bowel movement, I know I need more and take another tablespoon before I go to bed.

Now, to the general population that seems like a huge amount of vitamin C.

The recommended daily allowance is 60 mg to 90 mg per day, with the upper “allowed dose” 2,000 mg per day.

I’m taking 12,000 mg per day as an average on a daily basis.

Now, your family and friends might raise their eyebrows and call you crazy. Mine did a little at first.

There’s a lot more research available on the internet about the benefits of high dose oral vitamin C. A good start is Linus Pauling Institute and Orthomolecular.org.

Normal Vitamin C Requirements

Most people tolerate around 10-20 grams/day. Occasionally, people need 50 and even 100 grams of vitamin C to reach bowel tolerance.

If the body tolerates such a large amount, it means large amounts are needed.

For example, if you are coming down with any kind of infection or virus, your body’s requirements for vitamin C dramatically increase.

At the first sign of a cold or flu, take 1/4 tsp additional vitamin C every hour or even every half hour. You’ll probably nip that bug in the bud!

You might end up taking 20 to 50 grams. Every once in a while someone needs 100 grams is not unheard of.

Even if you are unable to prevent the cold or flu, keep up with the same frequent doses of vitamin C.

You’ll be amazed at how much more quickly you get better!

Side Effects of Taking High Doses of Sodium Ascorbate Vitamin C Powder

I’ve been taking high doses of vitamin C for many years and have never had any negative side effects aside from occasional loose stools when recalculating bowel tolerance.

My husband, kids, and pets have also been taking high doses for several years with no negative side effects.

Our positive side effects include:

  • Increased energy
  • Lowered allergies
  • Less illness
  • Quicker recovery
  • Less inflammation

Possible negative side effects reported include:

  • Gastrointestinal upset
  • Decreases the effect of cancer pharmaceutical Bortezoibl

Possible food and drug interactions include:

  • Can increase iron absorption
  • May cause oxalate buildup, a concern for those prone to oxalate kidney stones
